Half-moon heat deflector

Half-moon heat deflector for a Kamado Bono grill (1 piece).
• Designed to protect your food from the direct heat. Used for longer cooking, hot smoking and lower temperature retention.
• Placed in a two-zone system.
• The deflector is placed on the lower level at low temperatures (up to 140°C), on the higher level (on the crosspiece) at higher temperatures (140-250 °C), and on the grill at very high temperatures, i.e. when baking pizzas.

Maintenance: the heat deflector is ceramic and must be protected from abrasions and moisture. Do not wash the deflector with water or detergents, and do not leave it in the grill when it is moved to another location. If you need to remove the deflector while it’s hot, do so with extreme care and do not bang it. To protect the deflector from dripping grease, cover the top of the deflector with a piece of foil or a disposable foil container to drain the grease. The dirt from the deflector can be removed by pyrolysis (by turning the dirty side upside down during the next cooking).
